Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Cornelis Zitman was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Zitman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lunera in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 60,169.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Cornelis Zitman kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Zitman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lunera im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 60.169,73).
