The work El campeón (also known as Triunfador) by Cornelis Zitman was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2012. The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,215.99), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Zitman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lunera, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 86,500.00 (€ 60,169.73).

Die Arbeit El campeón (also known as Triunfador) von Cornelis Zitman kam im November 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.215,99) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Zitman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lunera beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 86.500,00 (€ 60.169,73) versteigert wurde.
