This artwork by Cornelis Visscher achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2014. In the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection. Part I auction, the work Portrait of a young boy, bust-length sold for GBP 110,500.00 (€ 139,375.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cornelis Visscher; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La Bohémienne sold at auction in March 2016 with the realized price of EUR 205,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelis Visscher erzielte im Juli 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection. Part I wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a young boy, bust-length für GBP 110.500,00 (€ 139.375,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Cornelis Visscher; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit La Bohémienne im März 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 205.500,00.
