Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection, which included the work Portrait Of Engeltje Pietersdr Kort-Leve by Cornelis Visscher. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,570.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Visscher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Bohémienne in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 205,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Engeltje Pietersdr Kort-Leve von Cornelis Visscher zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.570,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Visscher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Bohémienne im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 205.500,00.
