Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work A busy street corner by Cornelis Springer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,120.00 (€ 5,973.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Springer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of The Westerstraat In Enkhuizen In Summer in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,104,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A busy street corner von Cornelis Springer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.120,00 (€ 5.973,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Springer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View Of The Westerstraat In Enkhuizen In Summer im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.104.000,00.
