Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A market place, continental town by Cornelis Springer was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,181.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Springer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of The Westerstraat In Enkhuizen In Summer in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,104,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A market place, continental town von Cornelis Springer kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.181,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Springer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View Of The Westerstraat In Enkhuizen In Summer im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.104.000,00.
