Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Topographical Observations: Picture your world, which included the work A horse carriage in the busy harbour of Rotterdam by Bernardus Cornelis Noltee. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernardus Cornelis Noltee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Autumn day along a canal, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in February 2008 for EUR 12,250.00.
