Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Grazing cows by Bernardus Cornelis Noltee was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 875.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernardus Cornelis Noltee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Autumn day along a canal, Amsterdam in February 2008 with an auction result of EUR 12,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Grazing cows von Bernardus Cornelis Noltee im September 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 875,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernardus Cornelis Noltee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Autumn day along a canal, Amsterdam im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.250,00.
