The work Peacock by Colin Self was sold in the 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection auction at Christies in London in March 2009. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,156.70), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Self - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,051.81).

Die Arbeit Peacock von Colin Self wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.156,70) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Colin Self mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.051,81) versteigert wurde.
