Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Colin Self could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection auction, the work Indian Warrior changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,021.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Self - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,051.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Colin Self konnte im März 2009 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection wechselte die Arbeit Indian Warrior für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.021,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Colin Self mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study For A Diorama, Possibly Including Mickey Mouse beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.051,81) versteigert wurde.
