Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Colin Middleton could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Irish Art auction, the work Gipsy changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,599.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Colin Middleton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Allotments, Belfast in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 132,441.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Colin Middleton konnte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Gipsy für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.599,55) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Colin Middleton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Allotments, Belfast im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 132.441,09).
