The work Heroic Personage by Colin Lanceley was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Sydney in August 2004. The price achieved of AUD 15,535.00 (€ 9,016.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Heroic Personage is the most expensive artwork by Colin Lanceley that we have observed at auctions so far.
