Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rune by Clement Meadmore was sold in the First Open/ NYC auction at Christies in New York in July 2015. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,501.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clement Meadmore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Upcast in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rune von Clement Meadmore wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion First Open/ NYC bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.501,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clement Meadmore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Upcast im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78).
