Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Wall Plate by Claudi Casanovas was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,667.43). Other works by Claudi Casanovas have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2018 by the work Large Wall Plate at GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,700.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Wall Plate von Claudi Casanovas im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.667,43) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Claudi Casanovas wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2018 die Arbeit Large Wall Plate mit GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.700,30).
