A top price for Claudi Casanovas - as previously expected
In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Large Wall Plate by Claudi Casanovas. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,700.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Large Wall Plate is the most expensive artwork by Claudi Casanovas that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Large Wall Plate von Claudi Casanovas zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.700,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Large Wall Plate das teuerste Kunstwerk von Claudi Casanovas, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
