The auction ended at the price of EUR 35,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Joseph Vernet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of Avignon, From The Right Bank Of The Rhône Near Villeneuve in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,346,500.00 (€ 6,109,308.12).
