Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work A Coastal View Near Posillipo, Naples by Claude Joseph Vernet. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 440,750.00 (€ 491,809.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Joseph Vernet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of Avignon, From The Right Bank Of The Rhône Near Villeneuve in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,346,500.00 (€ 6,109,308.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Coastal View Near Posillipo, Naples von Claude Joseph Vernet zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 440.750,00 (€ 491.809,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Joseph Vernet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View Of Avignon, From The Right Bank Of The Rhône Near Villeneuve im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.346.500,00 (€ 6.109.308,12).
