Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Claude Flight achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December 2020. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Brooklands sold for GBP 44,000.00 (€ 49,151.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Flight - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Swimming: The Start of the Race, which sold at auction in January 2020 for GBP 131,250.00 (€ 156,120.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Claude Flight erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Brooklands für GBP 44.000,00 (€ 49.151,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Flight mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Swimming: The Start of the Race beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für GBP 131.250,00 (€ 156.120,41) versteigert wurde.
