A top price for Clark Hulings - as previously expected
In May 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Wash Day In The Pyrenees by Clark Hulings. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 125,000.00 – 225,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,475.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Wash Day In The Pyrenees is the most expensive artwork by Clark Hulings that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wash Day In The Pyrenees von Clark Hulings zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 125.000,00 – 225.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.475,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Wash Day In The Pyrenees das teuerste Kunstwerk von Clark Hulings, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
