Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Almond Blossom by Clarice Beckett was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 36,000.00 (€ 21,527.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clarice Beckett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening, (Beach Road, Beaumaris) in November last year with an auction result of AUD 172,200.00 (€ 112,047.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Almond Blossom von Clarice Beckett wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 36.000,00 (€ 21.527,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clarice Beckett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening, (Beach Road, Beaumaris) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 172.200,00 (€ 112.047,60).
