Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian lazy Morning by Clarice Beckett was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The price achieved of AUD 18,000.00 (€ 10,507.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarice Beckett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening, (Beach Road, Beaumaris) in November last year with an auction result of AUD 172,200.00 (€ 112,047.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian lazy Morning von Clarice Beckett kam im August 2008 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 18.000,00 (€ 10.507,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarice Beckett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening, (Beach Road, Beaumaris) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 172.200,00 (€ 112.047,60).
