Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Clarence Holbrook Carter achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in February 2021. In the Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples auction, the work Untitled - Yellow Mandala sold for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,159.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence Holbrook Carter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Empress of the North in August this year with an auction result of USD 19,200.00 (€ 17,713.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Clarence Holbrook Carter erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Untitled - Yellow Mandala für USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.159,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarence Holbrook Carter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Empress of the North im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 17.713,81).
