Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Clarence Hinkle could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work From the Hinkle Garden to the Mesa changed hands for USD 484.50 (€ 456.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence Hinkle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 35,312.50 (€ 31,285.99).

In der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wechselte die Arbeit From the Hinkle Garden to the Mesa für USD 484,50 (€ 456,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarence Hinkle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.312,50 (€ 31.285,99).
