A top price for Clarence Hinkle - as previously expected
In November 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Still Life by Clarence Hinkle. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 35,312.50 (€ 31,285.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still Life is the most expensive artwork by Clarence Hinkle that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Clarence Hinkle zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 35.312,50 (€ 31.285,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Still Life das teuerste Kunstwerk von Clarence Hinkle, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
