Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Girl Seated on a Blue Striped Chair by Clarence Hinkle for USD 2,422.50 (€ 2,194.29). This price was achieved in the auction California Art at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence Hinkle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 35,312.50 (€ 31,285.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Girl Seated on a Blue Striped Chair von Clarence Hinkle für USD 2.422,50 (€ 2.194,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarence Hinkle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.312,50 (€ 31.285,99).
