Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Christies in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain, which included the work Continuum by Claire Falkenstein. The price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Claire Falkenstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, Circa 1971 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,075.00 (€ 179,455.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Continuum von Claire Falkenstein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claire Falkenstein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, Circa 1971 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.075,00 (€ 179.455,56).
