Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crystal Falls, 1976 by Claire Falkenstein was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,812.50 (€ 24,023.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Claire Falkenstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, Circa 1971 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,075.00 (€ 179,455.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Crystal Falls, 1976 von Claire Falkenstein kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.812,50 (€ 24.023,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claire Falkenstein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, Circa 1971 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.075,00 (€ 179.455,56).
