The work Untitled, circa late 1960s by Claire Falkenstein was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,400.00 (€ 19,360.35), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Claire Falkenstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, Circa 1971 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,075.00 (€ 179,455.56).

Die Arbeit Untitled, circa late 1960s von Claire Falkenstein wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 19.360,35) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claire Falkenstein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, Circa 1971 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.075,00 (€ 179.455,56).
