The work Yuan by Chu Weibor was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,752.08), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chu Weibor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eminence in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 92,990.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yuan von Chu Weibor kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.752,08) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chu Weibor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eminence im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 92.990,40).
