Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Two Buffaloes by Chu Weibor. It changed hands for a price of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,834.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chu Weibor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eminence in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 92,990.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Buffaloes von Chu Weibor zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.834,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chu Weibor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eminence im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 92.990,40).
