Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chu Weibor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Tiger sold for HKD 40,320.00 (€ 4,465.77) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chu Weibor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eminence in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 92,990.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chu Weibor erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Tiger für HKD 40.320,00 (€ 4.465,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chu Weibor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eminence im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 92.990,40).
