Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Chu Weibor. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,791.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chu Weibor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eminence in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 92,990.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chu Weibor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.791,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chu Weibor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eminence im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 92.990,40).
