This price was achieved in the auction Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Chu Weibor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eminence in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 92,990.40).

Die Arbeit The Original Woodblock Of Two Buffaloes And Girl With Deer (Double-Sided) von Chu Weibor war einem Käufer im Juli 2020 HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.695,43) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chu Weibor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eminence im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 92.990,40).
