Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Christopher Wood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April 2021. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Self-portrait sold for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,732.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drying Sails, Mousehole, Cornwall in June last year with an auction result of GBP 479,100.00 (€ 556,577.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christopher Wood erzielte im April 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Self-portrait für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.732,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drying Sails, Mousehole, Cornwall im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 479.100,00 (€ 556.577,92).
