Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Duck and Swan, Regent's Park by Christopher Wood. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,392.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drying Sails, Mousehole, Cornwall in June last year with an auction result of GBP 479,100.00 (€ 556,577.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Duck and Swan, Regent's Park von Christopher Wood zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.392,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drying Sails, Mousehole, Cornwall im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 479.100,00 (€ 556.577,92).
