Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled 1 (Day Painting) by Christopher Le Brun was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,924.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Le Brun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Union (Horse with Two Discs) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 190,635.00).

Die Arbeit Untitled 1 (Day Painting) von Christopher Le Brun kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.924,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Le Brun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Union (Horse with Two Discs) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 190.635,00).
