Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Cover by Christopher Le Brun. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,613.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Le Brun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Union (Horse with Two Discs) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 190,635.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cover von Christopher Le Brun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.613,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Le Brun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Union (Horse with Two Discs) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 190.635,00).
