Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Super Bowl 2, 1977 by Christopher Brown was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June 2020. The price achieved of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,702.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Film Study in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,000.00 (€ 32,351.08).

Die Arbeit Super Bowl 2, 1977 von Christopher Brown kam im Juni 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.702,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Brown erzielen.
