This work without title by Christine Ay Tjoe was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 2,898,000.00 (€ 350,389.29), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 45%. Admittedly, works by Christine Ay Tjoe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Layer As A Hiding Place in May last year with an auction result of HKD 13,050,000.00 (€ 1,549,315.07).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Christine Ay Tjoe kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.898.000,00 (€ 350.389,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 45%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christine Ay Tjoe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Layer As A Hiding Place im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.050.000,00 (€ 1.549.315,07).
