Upper estimate price exceeded by 55 %.
The work Perspektif 01 by Christine Ay Tjoe was sold in the Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 3,402,000.00 (€ 411,326.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christine Ay Tjoe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Layer As A Hiding Place, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 13,050,000.00 (€ 1,549,315.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Perspektif 01 von Christine Ay Tjoe wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 3.402.000,00 (€ 411.326,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Für andere Arbeiten von Christine Ay Tjoe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Layer As A Hiding Place beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 13.050.000,00 (€ 1.549.315,07) versteigert wurde.
