Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christina Burch could be acquired at Phillips in New York in September 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Sea of Marrow changed hands for USD 188.00 (€ 161.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christina Burch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snow; Bamboo [Two Works|AID249326] in June 2013 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,647.19).
