This artwork by Chris van der Windt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2000. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work A farm along a waterway sold for NLG 4,095.70 (€ 1,800.32) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Chris van der Windt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A stilllife with Chinese porcelain in September 2002 with an auction result of EUR 8,365.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris van der Windt erzielte im Juli 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit A farm along a waterway für NLG 4.095,70 (€ 1.800,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chris van der Windt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A stilllife with Chinese porcelain im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.365,00.
