Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2020 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Chris Martin for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,500.32). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chris Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Staring into the Sun, which sold at auction in December 2017 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,192.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2020 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chris Martin für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.500,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chris Martin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Staring into the Sun beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 31.192,81) versteigert wurde.
