Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Once A Thief - "They Hid This Precious Painting Here?" by Chow Chun Fai was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,089.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chow Chun Fai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bodyguards And Assassins (Quadriptych) in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00).

Die Arbeit Once A Thief - "They Hid This Precious Painting Here?" von Chow Chun Fai wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.089,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chow Chun Fai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bodyguards And Assassins (Quadriptych) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00).
