This artwork by Chow Chun Fai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2020. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work Central sold for HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,322.58) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chow Chun Fai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bodyguards And Assassins (Quadriptych), which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chow Chun Fai erzielte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit Central für HKD 75.600,00 (€ 8.322,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chow Chun Fai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bodyguards And Assassins (Quadriptych) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00) versteigert wurde.
