Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Infernal Affairs - Guess Who A Cop Is by Chow Chun Fai. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,945.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 55,000.00 – 75,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chow Chun Fai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bodyguards And Assassins (Quadriptych), which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Infernal Affairs - Guess Who A Cop Is von Chow Chun Fai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.945,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 55.000,00 – 75.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chow Chun Fai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bodyguards And Assassins (Quadriptych) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00) versteigert wurde.
