Auction result misses estimated price range

The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which no Admittedly, works by Chokosai Eisho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twelve prints from the erotic set entitled Fumi no kiyogaki (Freshly issued love letters), unsigned--good impressions, color faded, centerfolds, creased, some stained in March 2001 with an auction result of USD 12,925.00 (€ 14,697.52).

Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.820,00 (€ 3.191,13) den Besitzer.
