This artwork by Choi So-Young achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Youngdo Bridge II sold for HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 94,811.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 420,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Choi So-Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snow Covered Landscape, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 226,539.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Choi So-Young erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Youngdo Bridge II für HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 94.811,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 420.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Choi So-Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snow Covered Landscape beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 226.539,74) versteigert wurde.
