Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Choi So-Young was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita auction at Christies in New York in September 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,209.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Choi So-Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snow Covered Landscape in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 226,539.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Choi So-Young wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.209,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Choi So-Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Snow Covered Landscape im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 226.539,74).
