A top price for Choi So-Young - as previously expected
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work Snow Covered Landscape by Choi So-Young. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 226,539.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Snow Covered Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Choi So-Young that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snow Covered Landscape von Choi So-Young zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 226.539,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 2.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Snow Covered Landscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Choi So-Young, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
